"In the ancient Hebrew scriptures, Wisdom is referred to in the feminine, and the Greek word for wisdom is Sophia. Wisdom literature describes Sophia as the breath of the power of the Creator, the image of the divine's goodness, a reflection of the eternal light."

We are all connected.
"I've been considering the phrase ‘all my relations’ for some time now. It's hugely important, it's our saving grace in the end. It points to the truth that we are all related, that we are all connected, that we all belong to each other. The most important word is all. Not just those who look like me, sing like me, dance like me, speak like me, pray like me or behave like me. All my relations, that means every person, just as it means every rock, mineral, blade of grass, and creature. We live because everything else does. If we were to choose collectively to live that teaching. The energy of our change of consciousness would heal each of us and heal the planet."
- Richard Wagamese
"She (Sophia) is more beautiful than the sun and more magnificent than all the stars in the sky."

The Magnificat of Mary
“My soul magnifies the Creator, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for God has looked with favor on the lowliness of the Almighty’s servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is God’s name. God’s mercy is for those who fear God from generation to generation. God has shown strength with God’s arm; God has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. God has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; God has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty. God has helped servant Israel, in remembrance of God’s mercy, according to the promise God made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever. Luke 1:46-55 |
