Courageous Community started in 2018 under the inspiration & leadership of Rev. Minnie Hornidge (now retired). Initially called the Centre for Dialogue, Faith & Connection the name Courageous Community was gifted by Kelly Foxcroft of White Raven Consulting. The intention to create space for brave conversation, creativity and community.
We acknowledge that we are meeting on land called, by many indigenous peoples, Turtle Island, on the unceded and traditional territories of the Tseshaht & Hupacasath First Nations. We thank all the generations of Indigenous people who have taken care of this land and been its stewards for thousands of years. We would also like to recognize the China Creek & Bainbridge Lake watersheds, knowing the waters in these regions support all of life in the area. We are grateful for this gift of life.
